|  Yet another Newbie! Kind of a long intro
Hello all!
I just found this site, and it looks like somewhere I can fit into.
Heres a lil info on me. I am the mother of 3 great kids. 2 boys ages 5 and 6 yrs old, and my baby girl who is 1. I am married to a Airforce Staff Sergent, who I love to death. Both my husband and I are from Chicago. We are high school sweet hearts. We've been married over 7yrs now, and together for 11 yrs.
I have always been over weight. I was always the biggest kid in school, and have always been a bigger adult. I looked into the weight loss surgery in 2002. After all the research I did on this, I freaked out and decided I can lose the weight on my own. I did lose weight on my own in the past 4 yrs. But it always found its way back to me. Since I had my baby last June, I have tried everything I can to lose the weight, with no results.
I finally decided that WLS was the best option for me.
I started my journey the end of May 2007. I got my approval from my ins company and my surgery date all with in a month.
I am having Lap RYN on Sept 11th. YAY!! It did take me a week or so to get over the fact that my "New Begining" is on one of the worst days in American history. I figured what better way to give a new meaning to this day.( I hope I didnt offend anyone with this comment)
Alrighty, I think I keep you all on here long enough. Thanks for getting this far. I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

You didn't offend me! We'll never forget 9/11, but it is a wonderful thing to have new beginnings and wonderful memories forged from that day as well. To me, if we only mourn 9/11 and don't celebrate any good that happens that day, that would mean that Osama Bin Laden achieved his purpose.
