Thank you to everyone that has responded. Sorry I hadn't responded quicker but had to fly home for an family emergancy... everything is fine now and I'm home.

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes and the continual support. This means a lot to me and as I'm sure to others as well.

I am a Christian so thank you for the verse, it brought a smile to me.
As for being a witness, so true, I couldn't give the testimony had I not gone through this. I'm very thankful for God not allowing any more on us then what we can bare.

As for Boots, I'm sorry you had to go through what you did and still are, I totally understand your fears, but I pray for your healing.

I don't know if I agree with the doc method of waiting 6 months, but I'd do as he asks..

I am feeling better these days, and me signing up on this forum and the support that you ladies have given me has and will continual help me to heal.

Thank you all very much. Hugs to everyone!

But I have a question that is kind of gross. My poop has been dark spinach color for a few months, is this normal?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hmmmm if I remember correctly, Doc said that it will be "lighter" in color because of the whole "by pass" process. Hopefully she will come on and give you some insight as to why the color is dark green.

It was light for a couple of weeks, but it was dark green to begin with then went lighter in the browns for a couple of weeks, then went back to the dark green. So I haven't a clue... I hope nothing is wrong.

I do apologize for talking about stools, but I need to know.

Thank you Cilly for responding.

The color of your stool is from bilirubin, the pigment in your bile. Dark greenish brown is its original color, so it can be anywhere from that to tan or ocre. If it becomes beige or white, that means there's a blockage somewhere along the route where the bile travels to be mixed into the stool.
If it's a very dark chocolate to black, then it's a sign that there's bleeding somewhere along your pouch-intestines.

So, I'd say dark greenish brown is perfectly normal. The color of your will probably change because both what you eat and the amount you eat is quite different from your pre op days. That's going to affect the secretion of the bile among other things, and also the amount of your stool, so the distribution of the bile changes as well.

If you are worried, or have pains, or don't feel well in genral, always go back to your surgeon or a trusted and knowledgeable PCP. No Q is foolish enough, everything is improtant to you.

DocSanae,
Thank you for your reply, I was just concerned of the color. I don't have pains or blood in my stool, its just an odd color. I feel better now. Everyone have a great day.
