Default Back from the beach...(? at end)

We had a great time. Our daughter loved the ocean, she was very sad to leave. I had some moments while there - I really missed food, but then I realized how free I was! We only ate out like 2 nights and I was able to use my card and eat off the kids menu! Most people were very understanding. I even ate popcorn shrimp (I know I shouldn't have, but OMG, it was so good!) My girl ate crab legs like they were going out of style.

I enjoyed watching my daughter at the ocean and it was so great to finally go into Build a Bear. I used to cry when I walked past there because I never thought I would get to go in there. She made a bunny and it is so cute! It was so much fun being a parent at the beach, even though there were times when I thought I would pull my hair out. LOL! (I WANT THIS! CAN WE DO THIS?)

My friend handed down bathing suits and I am so glad, because all of mine were too big! I even threw one in the trash after I attempted to alter it a little.

It was great to come home to a busy board with good news. So glad Edie is home; hope to hear from her soon. I found some more Whey 42 bullets - I have just become immune to them, I think. I drink 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. Quick and virtually painless.

I haven't weighed yet; I don't want to until I get some of this fluid off me. I drank water like it was going out of style; unfortunately, due to the heat, I retained some water. Any advice on how to get rid of it?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm with Genmel....

Can we take fluid pills?

TOM seems to be gone and the fluid is still here... my calves are actually bowing out the tiniest bit. And I've had a doppler run the other week.... I walk and drink water and have been keeping my feet up at work as much as possible. Or will this all go away at some point?

PS Welcome back!!!!!

Oh yes please check with your Dr before doing a fluid pill. I should have made that more clear.

I take one because I have one leg that swells like someone pumped air into it. I notice my relief always comes in one day when my body wants to let it loose. The heat will make you retain water. A hint perhaps.. the foot of your bed... elevate it just a tad. The will put you feet up some above your body. Even if its just on your side push a pillow or a blankent under the matress on your side to allow this action to happen. When I have to do this my feet or normal within a couple of days.

Best to stay away from water pills unless you are under close observation of your surgeon or your PCP.
You can get dehydration as a result, if the in/out balance is out of whack, and that will cause electroylte imbalance which spells a heck of a lot of trouble.

As for retaining water, what about the amount of sodium--salt in your diet? That will make you retain water, too. A lot of food stuff contain sodium and the total can be much more than you actually expected. I know you are watching the labels for sugar and carbs and fat, but also check out the sodium level. Try reducing the amount of sodium you ingest, and the puffiness probably will go away.

Thank you. My fingers are still puffy and my ankles, but nothing like they would have been 7 weeks ago. I don't know what in the world I could have eaten high in sodium; I feel like all I did was eat cottage cheese, drink water, and drink my protein. OH well. I will try the warm water and lemon juice - thanks.
