Weight Loss Method Controlled Eating & Exercise  |  Newbie Intro! Hello everyone! What a wonderful site with a lot of superb information. My name is Charlene and I just started this journey. I saw the surgeon 2 weeks ago and my insurance requires 6 months of carefully monitored dieting before I can schedule surgery. So....I start with an information session this Friday and go from there. This is something I have been considering for a very long time and I believe I finally have my husband's support. He went to see the surgeon with me and asked a lot of questions. The MD was surprised to see him as she says most hubbies or family members do not attend with the patient. This is a journey for the whole family and I want his input. We'll be married 15 years in October and we have 3 children. Two daughters ages 13 and 5 and a son age 9. I am so looking forward to finding a solution to my life long battle with weight issues. The information I have found on this site is comforting and I do not feel as worried as I did about the surgery. At this point, I'm probably looking at surgery in January or February of 2008, but I know I'll have plenty of info and support along the way. Thank you for such a wonderful place to land at the end of a day of frustration!
