Hello! My name is Kyle Lemaire. I live in DUluth, Georgia, just outside Atlanta. I don't have a current picture, I will work on that, but I am female. I had GBS last August 22nd and have lost 80 pounds. I was diabetic, had bad knee problems, high blood pressure, glacoma and was on a ton of meds for diabetes.  I had the surgery, laproskopic (sp - sorry) and have had no problems. I still want to lose another 20 - 30 lbs but weight loss seems to have completely stalled. I am reasonably happy with my progress. It is wonderful to go into the stores and have everything fit and look good. I'm now in large/xlarge and your options are so much better!  For those diabetic who are thinking of the surgery, the last meds I took were the day before surgery. My blood sugar is great! Knees feel much better, I'm more active (went tubing last weekend with my grandchildren and daughter - going camping tonite with same). I still continue to have problems with stomach cramps and bathroom issues, almost after every meal. But it is manageable and not severe just uncomfortable. I only occasionally throw up. Well ya'll have a great day. I've enjoyed reading about everybody. Sometimes you seem so alone when everyone is enjoying eating and you have 3 bites and are done! Kyle   I

Hi, welcome to the boards. I'm still waiting on insurance and it's great to hear from people who had the surgery awhile back. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really doing the right thing and then I hear you say you went tubing and I remember when I used to be able to do that and I get encouraged again. Thanks!
