 |  New To The Group Hi Everyone, I am new to the group and just starting my journey. I would have posted sooner, but I had difficulties figuring out how to activate my account  I have had one consultation with a surgeon and they are doing the pre-determination letter to my insurance. So I am not sure even if I will need to complete medically supervised weight loss or not...guess I am playing the wait and see game for now. I just wanted to say it is nice to meet you all!! Seems like they deny a lot, and then the people that fight for it, usually get it. I think the insurance does it to see who will give up. Believe me, i had many days that i cried thinking it wasn't going to happen. But i never gave up, i pushed and pushed, and called and called. i know they were tired of hearing from me. But...... here i am 8 months later, healthier and happier. It is a fight worth fighting, if it comes to that. Good luck on your journey!!

| Thanks everyone. It feels really good to be here. I only know one other person who has went through this process. I initiall went to my consultation with the mind set of wanting the lapband. However, after listening to all of the different type of surgeries and how some types work better for some people that others, I decided to just be open minded. When I spoke to the surgeon and she asked which one I prefer, I just told her that I wanted her opinion of what would be the best for me. She suggested the Rny Surgery. So now I am trying to learn as much as I can about it.
