Hi, I'm new to this site. I had surgery July 10. My weight prior to surgery was 258, as of today it is 228.5. My major problem seems to be stomach acid. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to the boards. I havent' had problems with stomach acid. I take 2 pepside( sp) every day, one first thing in the am and then another right after dinner.

Welcome. I just joined recently myself. It's addicting.  As far as the stomach acid, when I had my surgery my doc put me on a pepcid 2 times a day for the first few months. I never had a problem with it. Good luck.

I know for me my surgeon had me on tums 4 times a day the first months post op.
AND now i use an OTC product that used to be prescription.
WHAT are your symptoms? could this be the foamies???

Congratulations on joining the Loser's Bench.
Have you talked with your surgeon about the acid? If not, that's the first thing to do. Even if you've been instructed to take some meds, sometimes, they don't work for you, so you may need to have it changed.
