Wink Hello! I'm a newbe

I cant remember if I have said hi, and let you know I'm new. But here I go.
My name is Rebecca "Becca" and I'm now waiting on the insurance to re-approved me for the bypass. I have medicade, and in VA there was change, well now I have to wait on the new, insurance company to approved me.

I'm really worried about the blood clots, I know I will be fine but its in the back of my mind. And raising my grandson (Cameron 2yrs.) its scares me. But tonight I was talking with my husband and I told him when I was 15yrs (3 days before my 16th b-day,1983.) I had my gallbladder removed, it was the size of a soft ball, the dr had to open me way up and spread my ribs to remove it, and I was on the table they said for 2hrs. So I guess I should be ok! they didn't put anything on my legs to help with clots, or anything, and I was fine. So with the things they use now I should be fine. The only thing, after my gallbladder surgery was pneumonia, I was in the hospital, for 1 month.

I will be 39 yrs May 1st and I hope to have the surgery around that time. I'm so glad everyone is doing so well, it makes me feel so good, and gives me hope. I would like to be friend's with everyone. I have read allot of things on this website that has helped me. And to have a dr as a member is so cool.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

HI becca!
Welcome to the board!
I soo look forward to getting to know you thru your posts.

I will keep my fingers crossed that on the resubmittal of papers
to your insurance you get approved. FOR me sure this surgery
comes with risks and complications, but walking around at a BMI of
51, was equally as bad. I am 10 months out post op and down 141 lbs
and very happy. MY surgery went off perfect.
I wish you all the best and look forward to getting to know you thru
your posts and maybe get a chance to chat sometime soon.
ALL the best and feel free to ask us any questions you have!

Welcome to the board, Becca!
Thank you for joining us!
I hope I'll get to know you more thru your posts and in chat as well.
BTW, is that Cameron in your avatar? Cute little guy, but I do suppose he gives you the run for the money, so to speak. Soooo hard to keep up with the little 'uns, I hope you get approval and your date soon, so you can run and have fun with the handsome guy!

((((((HUGS))))))
May your journey go well.

hi Becca great to hear from you, hope to see more of you in these posts an can't wait to meet you in chat.
i don't know about other dr.s but mine makes you wear these funky looking socks that go all the way up to your hips to try and help reduce risks of blood clots, that and blood thinners, so there should be no problems,
Hope you get your approval and surgery soon
