Welcome! and good luck. This site is so wonderful for answering any questions you might or i should say will have.  I would recommend this surgery to anyone who needs it. My dad had it done a little over a month ago, he seen how well i was doing and went for it. It is a beautiful thing to be healthy.

Welcome, I am pretty new also, 4 weeks post-op. I wish I had this site before my surgery, I only read the "positive" articles in women's magazines, people who went home the next day and did cartwheels in the front yard!!!! So, when I didn't spring back like I figured EVERYONE who had the surgery did, I was very depressed and down on myself. Since finding this site, I realize there is a recovery time, and you can hit bumps along the way, even if you have done everything to a "T". I started a journal after my surgery, I had a diary that I bought a few years ago and never wrote in, so I use it. every morning and every evening I write about my day, how I felt, what I ate, goals, ect.

Christie, Even though my doctor didn't say I had to I think it would be wise to do a liquid diet for a few days before surgery. I think I will also curb my carb intake more as well. I love this site!! You guys are great |
