My advice, when they tell you at your pre-registration at the hospital to wear something comfortable when you come in for your surgery, do it! I wore my favorite pajamas, I didn't care who saw me in them either! I wore them home too! I wore those cute skull and crossbone pajamas from Torrid!

Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
Thanks Traci. I was actually wondering about that. I'm glad you gave me some input on that. I will go buy me a comfortable set of pajamas to wear home. I knew I wouldn't want to have blue jeans on or anything.
No, not before, my knees were in bad condition, I could pop them out of joint just cooking dinner in the kitchen, and since surgery I have walked once a week, I live in the mountains, so it is a little harder for me to get the walking in right now.
Post op they keep you NPO (nothing by mouth) til they do your xray to ck for leaks. My nurses let me brush my teeth and rinse which helped the dry mouth a lot! and of course the lip balm helped too! I have dry skin so I took my favorite bath and bodyworks lotion which the nurses seemed delighted by. I couldnt wait to get home to take a shower! They'll probably teach you the log roll to get out of bed so you might as well master it - have to admit it became a habit and really is easy on your tummy! Your tastes are pretty variable post op so dont be surprised if they change from day to day. Best Wishes!
