Well. My surgery is coming up...1 1/2 weeks till the day! Any helpful suggesstions or advice on pureed foods? I am on pureed for 1 month post op. I am excited.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Post-op, if I could mash it with a fork, it went in....I did potatos, carrots, green beans, lunch meat. Everyone told me mashed potatos would be my best friend, but I purposely tried to avoid them because of the starchy carbs.

I didn't have to do liquids or anything before surgery. I only had to stop eating at noon the day before surgery...only liquids after that...then nothing after midnight the night before. I'm sure some of the veterans will be along with more pureed ideas!

Welcome!!! I have to say that I took the advice of others and lived off of FF Refried Beans with shredded cheese! YUMMMM, I still eat them! And take Lisa's advice...DONT forget the CHAPSTICK!!

Welcome to the board. We are going through the same thing, except my doctor required I do a 10 day liquid diet before surgery. I am no day 3. My surgery is scheduled for 9-28-07 so I am counting down. I will give any advice I can. Good luck.
