Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  just a beginner Hi all, I am very new at this, both WLS and posting, so bear with me and all the mistakes i am bound to make. My surgery date is 10/15. I am really psyched and to be honest, getting a bit nervous. (is it really possible to survive without potato chips?). The support group with my surgical group is about 47 miles away through Long Island traffic at rush hour, so, I decided to go this route instead. I have been reading the posts, and getting the feel of things, and am really impressed by all the types of threads and comments. I am looking forward to getting to know many of you. deb

My surgery is at St. Catherines in Smithtown (what a hike, but I work for Maryhaven and I have to go to a Catholic Health Services Hospital, and St. Caths is the only one that our insurance covers for now!) My surgeon is Dr. Kaczmarski. He is with Dr. Brathwaite. There are a couple of nurses at work that know him and they say he is great. I see you live in Wading River. We are almost neighbors! d
