Default Finally I can Post!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie and I am so excited that I can post. I had to ask Boots for help. She got me hooked up though. I am 11 days post surgery! At first I thought OMG I have really screwed up and this surgery isn't for me! Then I found Isopure protein shakes and I thank God! It's a miracle turn around. You guys have such great advice. Now I have to create a ticker and learn my way around this site. I am 17 pounds down today. I am worried that I stay constipated though all the time. Any advice?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the group - you will enjoy yourself here - I have had constipation problems since surgery I think it is not enough fat. My fat consumption has dropped considerably - lol - I take a tablespoon of milk of mag and a tablespoon of prune juice twice a day usually along with a softener I cut up into 4 pills recommended by my surgeons office.

Hello welcome!

this is my experiance with the constipation after surgery i was only going every other day wich was GREAT! and i was takeing 2 stool soffiners a day. ALL i have to say is in my case that was not enough I became so constipated with out nowing do to the fact of the Plug that stool was going around that i felt awful. I ended up haveing to have the plug remover humilating! none the less and very painful. In the 4 weeks after my surgery i had done 6 enamas and they had not even broke this thing down and i had no clue it was in me till it was to late because i thought that the little bit that i was going was enough. I am sence up to 5 to 6 stool sofners a day and fiber. Every persons experiance is different but i know i never wanna be in that situation agen.
I have sence learnd that this is a big side effect with this surgery wether the people on here wanna atmit up but i figure if i can help someone else out then thats why i come on here.
many of the pain meds example the loratab do have the side effects of constipation and also just so you know if you are on the iron that has the side effect of tar like stool. very sticky and thick

I hope this helps ya so that you can see the sings if it gets bad because when it happen to me everyone told me it was normal to not go every day or every couple of days and i ignored it and in my case that was not good. it proved to be very painfull.

so god bless and i hope you never have to experiance the constipation of the extent i have its harable.

the stool sofner and fiber were recomended by my surgen
