Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | This is great....Now if we could get everyone posting!! I'm Deborah, 37...married with one 3 yr old. I'm only about 3 weeks post op....but, but I'm thrilled that I'm finally on this side of surgery. I'm great...I don't feel any pain...or even soreness. My 2 big challenges are eating...and getting used to this time. And then my energy is just starting to rise...and I'm feeling like I can do more and more. Now, I just need to integrate my eating/drinking with normal life!! That's the challenge. I'm excited about the weight-loss...and very pleased. But, I've committed to stay off the scale until the predetermined times. So, I'm trying not to focus on the weight so much!! Wish to welcome you all...and that we will hear from a lot of you very very soon! TTFN...

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hi there, My name is Hanadi (friends can call me Doody). I'm 35 years old from Kuwait. Deborah and I suppose to be surgery-soul-mates. We started with the same weight, 1 day difference on the surgery dates. Mine was April 18th, 2006. Old weight was 331 and current weight is 308 lbs. I'm committed to the same policy "keep the scale away". I feel now I'm less than 308 lbs the body shape and my clothes are screeming for that, but I'm planning to get out of my depression phase by not to weigh everyday. I'll weigh once a week. I'm married with 2 adorable girl angles. Jude 3 years old and Dana 5 months now My husband is the most wonderful man on the earth. He's very supportive and loving. He's also the reason I wanna lose weight, I love him so much :~) I'm a working mom. Most probably I'll get back to work next week. It's 10 hours job. I don't completely feel that I have the power to spend 10 hours of my day w/o a nap but I'll see my Doc today and ask him if I'm ready or not. I'm very happy with the surgery results so far, but I'm known to be a impatient person I wanna see the results very quickly. I can't wait to see myself for the 1st time in my entire life a fit slim person. I grew up a chubby girl. And now it's time to be Foxy Girl With love, Doody

| WLS Mentor | Hows it goin' eh? My name is Krys, most know me as freebird or birdie or free, i'm happy with any of them. i live in CarletonPlace, Ontario, Canada with my common law husband and two adorable male cats. I am having my surgery in rochester NY. because of the waiting lists in canada. i have been trying for this surgery for about 6 years now, trying to get in somewhere for 5years in canada and now it's been one year in rochester. My Dr. is Dr. O'Malley and i am so close to getting a date now for the surgery i can almost taste it. i assume that i will at least know my surgery date in June or July, (i really wanted to be a June bug with fr1endly2, but i don't think that that will happen considering all of the road blocks they keep setting in my way) i am having this surgery for my health of course, after i made the decision for the reason i realized, "hey wow i'm gonna look good to myself again." May even look in a mirror once in a while (hehe). i have made a list of all of the things that i want to be able to do again and can't wait to start checking them off because i've been able to do them. I now weigh 404 lbs and have made alot of changes in my eating habits that has allowed me to lose small amount of weight. It would be cool if i could get to 400 before the surgery. i've been to college for a degree to work with mentally challenged, children and seniors, and have worked for a number of years with mentally challenged and children but had to give both up because of the weight and not being able to keep up with them. Sooooo loking forward to get back to that. PS There is somebody here named the poem bandit, (haven't seen her for awhile though i know she's working on more and trying to find previous poems), who thinks it's funny to post poems under my screen name, carelful, she drops them anywhere and when they are least expected. hehe
