I am 23 years old mother of 2 and student from NYC i am starting the long journey and i am scare not about the surgery, is about the insurance approval i am more than 5 years fighting the overweight from diets, pills, herbal treatment, accupunture etc and nothing i got worst my body mass index is 45 i am 226 pounds and 4'11 height. my feets are swollen 24/7 and i cant even walk long distance becasue i feel my legs and hips will break, i snore a lot and i am depress. I need sheers to do it i know is hard not the procedure at all is the insurance headache i have nightmares. if anyone have HIP medicaid and is in ny and already got into this please i need advise I need my life change i need feel good with my self.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  | welcome! you will find so much info on here. i know of a few people who had this done thru medicaid in NY. well not sure if it was HIP at the time. the best advice i could give is document EVERYTHING. every dr visit, everything discussed in the dr visit. they WILL pay for it if necessary. good luck on your journey.
