Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hello everyone, sorry i havent posted in a while. I've been really busy. I'm doing great so far, I have lost 73 pounds (surgery was on may 15). I wanted to get your opinion on something. I'm losing my hair like crazy, and i have long hair. I'm not ready to cut it, so my question is --has anyone considered or had hair extensions done? My worry is that i will end up losing more hair because of the weight of the extensions...what do you guys think???? thank you in advance for all your responses and your time..i really appreciate it. have a wonderful day.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | well heres the thing. im going to try to be as politically cprrect as possible when explaining this so please bare with me. if i offend someone please know it is not my intention. extensions can mean different things. there are "weaves", braids, ponytails, and full on wigs. with caucasian hair, entensions tend to cause damage. there is a bonding type substance or a "glue" used which is not meant for long term, but people leave them in and them taking them out causes breakage. for black ppeople...well we have a few more options. braids are a form of extensions for us that actually make our hair grow. weaves are kind of like the same process as bonding but the way its sectioned off is different. we can also have a weave sewn in. its really involved to explain. just know that for caucasian type hair, it causes more damage than good. just ride it out. you will be fine once it passes. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I was looking into them for my hair for a while, but after really looking into, like Kenya said it was going to cause more damage then good. I used nioxin and took my pills. I did not cut or color my hair until after my hair loss stopped. I havent lost any in about two months now and there for a while I hated even taking a shower cause I would see how much hair (what I thought was a lot) in the tub. I am a year and 3 months out and only lost a little due to the recent color change. I did end up cutting about 3inches off when I finally got it cut. I say really really look into and make sure to spend the money, as with other things you get what you pay for. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | That answers my nquestion Kenya. I tto had briefly thought extensions may be an option. So far, so good for me though, my hair is staying put for now.

I haven't had surgery yet . But recently i've switched over to doo grow products i've been growing my hair out natural for 2 years now and i love them so much i've started using them on my daughters hair also she already has really long hair but was experincing some breakage from daily swimming over the summer and with 3 washes and every other day using the hair oil i've noticed a difference .also your can try this treatment called aphogee it is excellent ask your beautician about it or go th your local beaty supply they should have it after one treatment the breakage stops look both products up online and hoefully you well find some relief from damage done to your hair . please let me know how things turn out because i have fear of losing hair after also.
