Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, Kimmy411!
Thank you for joining us, please settle in and make yourself at home, here.

Congratulations on being approved!
You must be excited right now, and on an emotional roller coaster, which is only natural. Just believe in your choice and stay calm, cool and collected...even though it's impossible to.

Anyway, may your journey go well,
(((((((HUGS)))))))

Congratulations and welcome kimmy411. This is the perfect time for you to come here, lots of good people with lots of good advice and some are even funny too.

as for advice seeing the dr. is it a one on one with the dr. or an info. seminar? either way take notes and if at all possible bring a tape recorder and with the dr.s permission tape your interview or session. i know i wish i had brought one, there is so much info to absorb and you really don't want to forget anything.

hope to see you in more posts and in chat soon

I am very new as well. Yesterday was my post op dr apt., which very well. (-16 in 9 days!!)
I was very scared also, and up and down with the emotions allllll the time. Your day will get here and it will just be great.

I am scheduled for GBP on 6/6/06 at New England Medical Center-best place in New England for WLS. My date was originally 5/30/06 but they pushed it back-I am not happy about that. I kind of want to get it over with so I won't change my mind.

Thanks Lisa. How long after your surgery did the fatigue set in and how long does it last? That's one of my worries because I work rotating shifts-sometimes 3 different shifts ina week-and I have slep deprivation already from the schedule-I don't want to get back to work and not be able to make it thru my shift.
