Default Hi all

Hi everyone. I am just starting the process of gb surgery and have my appointment with the surgeon next week. I have attended the info session and am going to the support group requirement next Tuesday. I am excited to start this new stage in my life and am trying to find out all I can about it. I have seen documentary's on it and heard all of the info from the session but I am looking for true information from other people just like me who have gone through it. My husband is supportive but so worried about me and the "extremeness" of the surgery and I am trying to let him and others know all I can about it. Is there anything anyone can share about the surgery that might help me help them understand that I will be okay? I tell my husband all the time if it is my time to go the Lord will take me whether I am laying on that operating table or not , but at least I will be making a healthy choice for my life. I am 5,3 &3/4" and 237lbs. I know my insurance will cover it minus the 100.00 copay. Just looking for anything I should know before I go to the doctor's. Thanks for all of your sharing in the other posts. It has been defiantely reassuring. Is there anyone here who wishes they would not have had it done? I am guessing not but wanted to ask. Take care.
Love In the Lord,
Courtney

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

For your husband, maybe you'd like him to read this post, if he has not already.

May your journey go well, ((((((HUGS))))))

HI cabbie!~
Welcome to the boards and
what an exicting time for you beginning the
steps to change your life and get healthy.

I am nearing my 1 year post op...june 1 i will
be one year post op. I have lost so far 143 lbs
and im healthy and happy. I had no complications
and i had a awesome careing surgeon.

I would do this surgery again with out a bat of the eye.
I follow all the rules my surgeon laid out for me by eating
the protein first and moving on to a veggie and a taste
of other at my meals. USUALLY to full after the protein
for to much more so it works well for.

I have never messed with the SUGARY/CAKE/real chocolate
treats to find out if i dump or not. I dont have time to deal
with being sick as a mom of 3 young kids and a working mom.
I feel its better off just assumeing i dump then i wont keep
testing waters and messing up my weight loss.

Feel free to ask me anything!!!
All the best
lisa
