Hello everyone. I am just 7 days post op. What an interesting week I have had. My husband is having a hard time right now having dinner and me with my little 1 oz cup. It is hard for me too, but in time we will be OK with this new lifestyle. Hope to get a chance to get to know some of you. I took a large drink of water tonight, not thinking until the first swallow was down. Scared me to death, but it had been awhile since my last sip...so far so good, phew!!!! I do not think I will do that again. LOLTomorrow I get to see my surgeon since my surgery. I am excited to see what little bit of weight has come off this first week. He makes me feel so much better about things. That is good. Talk again, Robbin

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ROBIN!!!! Welcome to the boards...but, more importantly Welcome to the world of POST OP!!! Isn't it wonderful?? I know it's hard to adjust...but I'm in on my 5th week and just am starting to get the hang of it...and still sometimes have some problems. I am on solids...but, if you don't watch it...you'll do the same you did with water with food....OUCH! I'm still getting the hang of it...but the weight off counters the bummer of dealing with this new eating....LOL. I'm soooo glad you are here with us Robin...there are a handful of us who are newbies....so welcome...you'll get the hang of it...don't worry.
