Hi, I am new to forum. Was reading the posts and wondered about nutrition. Are you guys eating enough? I am pre-op and just trying to get as much info as possible. Has any one had any malnutrition problems? I read on another forum people that couldn't quick losing weight and were actually getting sick.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Katygirl, I try to eat six times a day, about a half cup of food. But ill tell you what. last week i had to go to the dr because i was so tired that i didnt even what to move. I thought that maybe i was not getting enough iron, all blood tests came back good. The reason i was getting so tired, i was burning more calories than i was taking in, but i think i was exercing to much(like 2 hours a day). But i do see where some people eat only 3 meals a day. I would be so tired. Im having a hard time as it is getting all my food in. I dont know if this helps you any, but its just what has happened to me.

I am doing great, i can eat lots of things!! I think that as long as you follow your Dr's orders and keep them posted to any problems, you will do great. I know someone who was having problems with malnutrition, but we found out that he never went to the Dr. when he first noticied he was having problems, and when he finally did they found ulcers... now those have to heal so they can repair his pouch..... Just listen to what the Dr. says, follow the rules and keep your follow ups.

Welcome and this is a wonderful site with lots of information and lots of support.
I am 6 months post op and I have not had any problems so far. I follow what my
surgeon reccommended. I have had blood tests done and things so far are going good. I feel wonderful too. Best of luck to you on your adventure.

I eat plenty...and with the vitamins/supplements, my body is obviously getting everything it needs! I won't have labs for a few more weeks, but I feel fantastic...I think if I was suffering any malnutrition, I would feel it...I work out, drink tons of water, and eat healthy food...I think that's pretty solid for all of us across the board!

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD...you will find so much info on this site...and if you don't find something, ask...someone here has been through it!
