Default Went to the Surgeon

Today was my 1st day to the surgeon. I have a feeling it is going to be a long drawn out process. I do feel like I went prepared. I had a letter and my records from my med. dr., I had my psych eval, and am scheduled for my sleep study. I have to have a gall bladder ultrasound on Thursday and then on the 14th I have to be scoped. I know everyone is different, but I sure hope the insurance company quickly accepts the claim and then I can get on with business. I am so glad I found this site. I have read everyone's words of encouragement to each other. You all seem like such good friends and neighbors to each other. I hope you all won't mind me looking to y'all for guidance and support. I look forward to getting to know you all.
Tami

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well, from what you posted it sounds like the surgeon its getting things done on his end of things. Perhaps the office is familuar with your insurance and knows what they need ahead of time. Yes honey this can become a long drawn out process somtimes. If you really want to get this done you will have to endure all the bells and whisltes the insurance companys makes you go though to get approved. Then again there are some that have no problems. I hope your one of them. Good luck with everything and let us know how it progresses for you ok.

Tami mine was a process. All together my jounrey took just about 9 months to get everything thru and cleard. But its oh so worth the jounrey. Once I made the decision to go thru with it and I wanted this I made teh committment to follow the steps my surgeons office had. I can happily say now that I am 6 months post op and a very happy person and much healthier person. Its so worth the ride.
Take each step as a baby step. That is what I did when I felt overwhelmed. I just would do what they told me. Seminar, nutrition appoitments, pych appoimtents and etc.........then before you know it, it will be your time. Best of luck and hang tough.
