Hi Everyone, My name is Christine and I had the gastric bypass surgery 9 days and 17 lbs ago. I cannot believe I am losing weight so fast, is it always this fast? Hi and welcome! I'm new to the forum as well and I am 18 days post op. I lost 21.5 pounds in the first two weeks and nothing the last 4 days. As I've learned from the gals I've met during our pre-op classes (since then most of us have had our surgeries) we are all different. I've also learned even though we all have a pouch they are different in size for us. Some stomachs are stretched so much its hard to make them small. While one person can only eat as little as 1/4 of jello, another person could eat 1-1/2 cups. There is one thing for sure, we'll all never be able to eat like we used to. I'm fighting the head hunger thing now. I didn't have it the first couple of weeks, now I do and I wish it would go away.
