According to my doc my first week is clear liquids, then 2 weeks of full liquids (which I posted was not filling me), then puree. Okay, I'm really supposed to start puree tomorrow but I gave it a whirl today. UGH! I made a simple pureed tuna with low fat mayo. I had 3 bites and I hurt for a couple of hours. They weren't even big bites, and I still chewed even though it was pureed for a good minute or two. Okay, I guess I'm not ready yet, it's back to protein drinks and soup. I'll give it another week. Well, I've learned one thing, the pain is extremely unfortable. I'm not used to having a full filling so high in my abdomen. It's more painful than your normal overeating feeling. dawn (poochsgirl)

Honey when I started that stage it had to be such tiny bits and so far inbetween. I would take me at least 30 mins to eat a whole teaspoon full and it has to be done on a empty stomach. Good luck honey you will get there.

My doc won't let me GO INTO STAGE 3 (PUREE FRUIT, MEAT, POULTRY, FISH, VEGGIES) until he see's me on Nov 13th. He likes to wait about a month from surgery... But i NEED meat!! so I actually sucked on (and spit- did not swallow) a piece of a beef roast my hubby made this weekend!! I sooooo need some meat! lol so puree is starting to sound like gourmet food to me right about now!! LOL

I still have bad feelings for tuna, it just dosn't get along with me anyomore. During puree I reallly liked bananas and applesauce, s/f jello and s/f pudding, oh, and light yogurt was my BEST friend, still is!
