Default Hi I am a newbie

I was very excited when I found this site and very glad also. I have learned a great deal already this morning and have enjoyed. I am pre-op, I have a date for June 29. 2006. I am a little shakin but have done a lot of research this morning and have eased some of my worry. I have not told my husband about the surgery as of yet. I have told him that I was having my gall bladder removed and he is fine with that. He just does know that while they are in there they are removing a few other things as well. I spoke with the surgeon again yesterday and he has decided on the type of surgery that I will be having. It is the RNY, 100 cm. He will be removing my gall bladder and the excess stomach. I would like it all done at one time to save the trouble of going through surgery again, if it can be avoided. I will be talking with my hubby this week because the surgeaon requires the spouse to attend the last visit, which is next Wed. Which is fine. Obesity runs in my family. I am considered morbidly obese with BMI of 45 I am 4'11 and 216 lbs today. My weight is like the price of gas, it keeps going up! Up until now I have seen my future as a very boring and imobile one. But now I am looking forward to enjoying life outside with my children again. I can hardly wait for the day when I can paint my toenails without feeling as if I have just ran in a marathon. I use to take a lot of things for granted, painting toenails, sitting criss cross, crossing my legs when I sit, washing my back...ya da ya da ya da... I am sure you know what I mean. Well with all of that said I look forward to talking and reading more.

Many Blessings,

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome to the board, soon2B, congratulations on getting your date.
Also, thank you for joining us, please make yourself at home.
I'll be praying for you that your talk with your DH go well, and that he is supportive of you and your choice. Trust between the two of you is very much needed in the days ahead, so I hope there is an abundance of that in your family.
((((((((HUGS))))))))) and may your journey go well.

Oh wow, I really hope that you talk to your hubby soon and help prepare him. This is going to be something that is going to be so much easier for you to adjust to if your hubby has the chance to be prepared on what is going to happen, what to expect and so on and so forth. I hope it all goes well, and I would do it over in a heartbeat.
