Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Finally home Hello Everyone, My surgery was on 12-11-07 and finally able to post something. My surgery was not uncomplicated. After surgery, I was in a lot of pain especialy in my back due to lap method. I had a reaction to morpheine and the reglan they give you for nausea so although nothing serious, it really did slow down my progress and was in hospital 3 nights. THe day after surgery I had blood in my stools and Dr. felt ok with it at that time. But it continued and 3days after I got home I was back in hospital for 4 nights for that and low hemoglobin and potassium. I am now at home and feeling much much better. I am getting into the swing of things with eating and drinking and after all this, I am still confident this surgery will help me. I have lost 13 in 12 days and happy with that. I thank all of you for your support and will have a million questions to follow. Happy Holidays Karen
