| Newbie |  Hello to all
My name is sheri I live in southern California and i have been trying to get my surgery for a couple of years now. I told my doctor I wanted this surgery and she told me to try a few more things before we decide, so i went to a few personal trainers ect. A year later after losing a few pounds then gaining them back. I told her i was ready. So I started a six month nutrition class. When i finished I went to many different Doctor appt. I went to cardio DR, Sleep apnea DR, ect... Waited for referral after referal. Finally I was able to go see the surgeon, yahhh! He scheduled me a surgery date because he had a cancellation. The emergency referral went in, one day before my surgery the insurance denied me, saying that i need to complete a 6 month Healthy Roads program, I had never heard of this program and neither had my primary Dr. So i started this program, 4 months in I called to reschedule my Appt. and they informed me that my insurance no longer requires that program. So i immediatly called my surgeon to send the paperwork into the insurance again. Last week they denied me because my BMI is only 39.9 (requirement 40 BMI) without having a coobesity condition, like sleep apnea, which I do have! So know I am waiting on the insurance to review my paperwork because they made an error. I should find out tomorow, yikes I can't wait, talk about anxiety!!! So i will let you know as soon as i find out anything. I spent alot of time on here today reading everything and I am excited to get to know all of you, you all seem wonderful.
