Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  I feel like I know you already... I feel like I know a lot of you already. I've been reading (cough/lurking) for a few months. I don't know why, maybe I couldn't believe this was actually going to happen for me. Now, I'm beginning Month 4,of my pre-op classes and it puts me more than half-way into the process. So, it's time to let all of you get to know me a little better. First, I have to say that I've been involved in lots of different Yahoo groups, while I was trying to go this alone and nowhere have I ever seen the kind of support that is shown here. You guys are amazing. I'm really touched that so many "veterans" stick around to help the newcomers. I promise I will do the same. Then there's Doc...she is always there to offer advice/comfort/latest news... Thanks for accepting my registration, I hope to be sitting on that bench with you soon. I have no date yet, but it will probably be sometime in late April or early May. Regards-CJ

I am glad that you found us and we are all here to help eachother. I have received so much help from these wonderful people. The support is so awesome here and would not be as far as I am without the help of these people here. I try to get on here as much as I can because these people understand becasue they all have gone threw what i did. We do not have a support group here in our area and have to drive 200 miles for a support group and that is pretty hard to do. My daughter wants to start one here but she is so busy with work right now and has no time. She is also working on a cookbook for the hospitol and she has a whole section in the cookbook on low carb recipes. She even said that the other recipes can be made for people like us to eat only takes a little of revising the recipes. I cannot wait till it is done. I have most of the recipes from the low carb section and she even took some of my recipes. She is really excited about the cookbook. You will find that these people are just like family and are here for you whenever you need them and any question you need to ask, someone is always here to help you out. Welcome again.
