Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass |  Hello I, like a few others, are new here and just in the beginning of my journey to a new life of not being obese and hopefully healthy. Right now, I'm in the process of getting the necessary things done to send with the letter of medical necessity to the insurance company. I have to see my doctor, she is a new primary care doctor, as I wasn't getting what I needed from the one that I had for 11 years. I also have to some blood work done and see the cardiologist. I've been working with the folks at the Wittgrove Bariatric Center in La Jolla, CA since September when I went to an informational seminar. The people in Dr. Wittgrove's office are the best that I've ever encountered. He has a full support staff and any questions, or concerns are answered within minutes, not days. Dr. Wittgrove is the surgeon who performed Carnie Wilson's surgery and he was the first in the world to perform the surgery laproscopicaly (sp?). I thought I'd find me a forum of individuals who have had or are also in the process of having the surgery to give guidance as I embark on my journey.
