Hi everyone, My mom found this site and said I should join. I am so glad I did. I am looking to get gastric bypass in early April. I met with my surgeon on Monday and am so excited. I am 5'10 and weigh 302, which gives me a BMI of 43. I qualify for the surgery through my insurance (United Healthcare) because of my BMI. I don't have any health problems, but the doctor said I should do this surgery now, so I dont run into any health issues. I have two small children and I look so forward to being able to keep up with them and watch them grow up. I just feel if I dont do this, I might not be around for their lives and that just crushes me. I look forward to talking to all of you. Have a great day! Tracy
