Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi, Welcome! I don't really have an answer to your question (sorry) I just wanted to say hi. How much protein are you getting? They've talked about anything more than 50-60 being too much and can actually slow down weight loss and hurt your kidneys. How about water intake? And did you have to lose weight pre-op with any special and/or liquid diet? Maybe some of those answers can help some people to figure out your prob. Plus plateau's seem to be quite common no matter what stage you're at.

I had a few days that I stayed the same weight and then I would drop a 1/2 lb or so, then stick for a day or so and drop etc... I think your body is just adjusting to the changes. Just keep to your doc's plan and your body will catch up and continue to lose.

I have a protein shake in the morning only half a can right now. Then at lunch and super I have 2 oz or less of either chicken or fish. It just seems odd that in 1o days I lost 20 pounds and now nothing. I am really starting to regret having the surgery...I am sick on my stomach almost all the time, I seem to stay dizzy and almost pass out every time I get up from a sitting or lying position, my stomach hurts after I eat and I still am not loosing weight! It really doesn't seem worth it.

Weclome to the board, thank you for joining us.
Congratualtions on joining the Loser's Bench.
((((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

Yep, it's normal. Your body is still healing inside. Your pouch is adjusting, your body is adjusting to the major reconstruction that's been done to your system. Even if your surface incisions have been healed, your insides are still healing, and it will take 3-4 months to completely heal and regain and readjust all its functions.
Stick to your surgeon's instructions, and the weight loss will kick in once your system has started to settle down.
In the meanwhile, don't bother about how your scale is moving, as a matter of fact, I suggest you throw your scale out until you are further out, and get weighed only at your dr visits, that is going to be better for your mind's peace.
Also, when the scale isn't moving is when you lose your inches and your clothes starte getting looser, so, if you didn't measure your inches (breast, waist, hip, thigh, etc) start measuring 'em now, that will get you through when you have a rough time.

Last, your wieght loss will come in humps and bumps, not in one smooth fell swoop, so you'll need to learn to feel easy with it.

((((((HUGS))))))

regret is normal early out...and once you are further along, you will NOT regret this...there are too many people here who will tell you otherwise.....!!!!

Go slow and let your body catch up.....you will see it fall once again....the pounds seem to melt off at times....then it will stall out again...and this is all very normal....do a search on STALLS or STUCK on the board...you will find plenty of us going through this!
