Default Sleep Apnea?

I should probably save this for my Surgeon for when I meet with him next week, I am sure he will have me sent for a test.

Back when I had my daughter almost 4 yrs ago, I had a c-section. After my surgery I had one of those things on my finger that measure my oxygen intake and every time I dosed off it beeped at my and my nurse said " Take a breath", does that sound like I would have sleep apnea. I never got tested. I dont know why, I guess just time. My husband had a job that took him away from home 21 days at a time so it was near impossible to schedule as I had nobody to watch my kids. We moved in Sept from Utah to Texas and now he has a job that he is home every night so testing is easier. I guess my Dr will have me test, right? Does that sound like sleep apnea though? I also wake up several times a night and sometimes wake with a headache.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Sure sounds like you have sleep apnea.
You may or may not be tested for that, it's going to depend on the surgeon and your insurance.
However, sleep apnea is one of the comorbidities that can clinch insurance approval for surgery. If you suspect you have sleep apnea, then my advice is to insist on a test no matter what, whether with the surgeon, or with your PCP.

I Would Definitely Get Tested If I Was You . I Never Knew I Had It Until I Had Sleep Study Done For Surgery. I Had Started Waking Up Several Times During Night And Having Dizziness When I Woke Up From Time To Time . But I Still Never Thought That Was The Problem I 've Even Passed Out A Couple Of Times But Still Never Thought Of It As Sleep Apnea I Know That I Am Less Tire Now And Sleep Better But I Still Take The Cpap Off During The Last Couple Of Hours Of Sleep Some Time . Hen I Due I Over Sleep . So Definitely Get Tested . Most Surgeons Have This As A Requirement , Atleast In My Area .
