Thumbs down ????????

Hello ladies. I haven't posted for a while because I am pretty bummed but I have been reading the boards. I am still waiting for my appointment with medicaid so I can have health insurance to pursue this journey but besides that I am bummed about my weight. My PCP told me to go back to weight watchers and so I did. I logged everything that I ate religiously and not only have I not lost weight. I have gained the 3lbs I had lost on Medifast and then some. I do not know what to do? I have had my thyroid checked 6 times and the results were normal every single time. I drink 8+ glasses of water and at one point I was going to the gym 6 days a week. This extra weight is killing me I am sorry to always have a negative post....maybe one day I'll surprise y'all. I'm afraid I won't be able to lose the 10% required for surgery and therefore there will be no surgery so it seems I am destined to be fat any advice anyone????

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Keep your chin up! It seems like lots of people struggle with insurance issues and we have all always struggled with our weight all our lives. I know you'll get it all straightened out and before you know it you'll be right here with the rest of us and telling some new person how you struggled at first and how great you're doing!

stress and sodium. are you eating the weight watchers meals? if so watch the sodium in the forzen stuff. i have no advice on how to actually lose. i struggled with it for years. two things made me lose, a liquid diet (slim fast)or atkins induction (no carbs or sugar) nothng else has ever "worked" for me. i couldnt keep it off but i lost tons of weight.

your day is coming. hang in there

yes i have been eating the Weight watchers meals but only once a day. My typical breakfast is 1/2 of a bagel and sauteed garlic, tomatoes, and spinach in an egg white omlete ,l-healthy choice or weight watchers meal, D- whatever I plan for that day usually chicken, turkey or 4% fat lean ground beef made on my George Foreman grill. I love salad.... The danger zone is night time... Slimfast unfortunately has too much sugar so I don't think that is a good idea but I'll keep trying. Thanks all

Are you doing WW points or core? Core is great preparation for surgery. I found I was able to work the points so I was still eating a bunch of crap. My poison was sugar and I am convinced a big part of the success of WLS has been cutting out the sugar. I still enjoy carbs, but the sugar is very, very limited. I have PCOS and insulin resistance so there likely is a scientific reason why cutting the sugar has helped.

Good luck dealing with the insurances.

I am doing points. I know it is very easy to manipulate the points because you can go to BK and say that was 25 points but the thought of being able to eat until I am full even if it is healthy scares me. I also have diabetes so staying away from sugar is best for me too but I LOVE Chocolate!!

(((((HUGS)))) Hang in there.
If you are exercising, then your weight gain can be from muscles.
Whatever may come, never give up, and keep on believing that your day will come.
